Opportunities at DREF

The Delta Research and Educational Foundation (DREF) announces internship, scholarship, and grant opportunities until March 21, 2016. Students are encouraged to review the criteria and apply now. The grants application process is open to local chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., collegiate and alumnae. The deadline is approaching. Please share this important information.

 2016-2017 Internship and Scholarships

▲The Stephanie Tubbs Jones Internship (STJ) is awarded to a female student currently enrolled in a college or university with demonstrated interest in public service, governance, and policy-making process. Students will gain experience in the office of a member of the U.S. Congress, receive a stipend and be provided room and board at a local university.

 ▲The Eula Dean Roby Scholarship for Education Majors is awarded to students currently enrolled in a college or university to pursue a career in Education.

 ▲ The Oleta L. Crain Scholarship is awarded to female students graduating from high school and will enroll in a Historically Black College and University (HBCU). The applicants must reside in one of the following states: Colorado, Oklahoma, or Missouri.

 ▲The Dr. Yvonne Kennedy Scholarship is awarded to members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., currently enrolled as a full-time student at a college located in the Southern Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Applicants must be a sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student majoring in Education, Higher Education Administration, Government, or Political Science.

 ▲The Mentoring Keys Scholarship is open to students majoring in business related disciplines at a Historically Black College and University (HBCU).  Applicants must be a junior and have permanent residence in a state where KeyBank is located.  Scholarship is made possible by the KeyBank Foundation.

2016-2017 Grants

The Delta Research and Educational Foundation (DREF), in collaboration with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (the Sorority) is pleased to announce the 2016-17 Annual Community Empowerment Grantmaking and the Mental Health Grant programs.  The application process is open to local chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., collegiate and alumnae.
