DREF Re-ignites National Reading Circle
The National Reading Circle sponsored by DREF returned to active status earlier this year, engaging a national audience to read the highly acclaimed book—Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents written by Isabel Wilkerson, the Pulitzer Prize winning journalist.

DREF COVID -19 VIRTUAL OFFICE SCHEDULE
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Delta Research and Educational Foundation will operate in telework mode, until further notice. During this period, all staff members will be working remotely and will be available via email and/or telephone between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM (EST), Monday through Friday. DREF Launches New Health Initiative - Project IMPACT: Diabetes Prevention
Beginning in this fiscal year, DREF is partnering with the American Pharmacists Association Foundation (APhA) to conduct a national diabetes prevention program. Entitled Project IMPACT: Diabetes Prevention, the initiative is a year-long education and wellness program that teaches participants skills needed to prevent Type 2 diabetes. Federal /Military Employees and Retirees Can Choose DREF!
Federal employees are able to participate in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), which enables them to donate to the 501 (c)(3) charity of their choice via automatic payroll deduction. The CFC season is currently open and will continue through mid-January.

Latest Edition of PHILLIS Scholarly Journal Available Now!
The DREF Sister Scholars Advisory Council is pleased to announce the 2021-22 edition of "PHILLIS: The Journal for Research on African American Women" The theme of this edition is “Moving to the Other Side of the Mountain: Black Women’s Resolve in a Moment of Crisis,” with guest co-editors being Pearl Dowe, Ph.D., and Keneshia Grant, Ph.D.; both are members of the Sister Scholars Advisory Council.
