Latest PHILLIS Journal Revisits the African American Woman and Poverty

In the 2019-20 edition of PHILLIS: The Journal for Research on African American Women, DREF revisits the theme- “The African American Woman and Poverty: The Intersectionality of Economics, Education, and Health.” More than a decade ago, DREF initially addressed the topic: “The Impact of Poverty and Race on African American Women” in its scholarly publication.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak crisis, the Delta Research and Educational Foundation will operate in telework mode, until further notice. During this period, all staff members will be working remotely and will be available via email and/or telephone between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM (EST), Monday through Friday. DREF Board Selects Cheryl M. Thomas, CPA, as Interim Executive Director
-
The Board of Directors of the Delta Research and Educational Foundation (DREF) is pleased to announce the selection of Cheryl M. Thomas, CPA, as its Interim Executive Director. Ms. Thomas will lead the Foundation’s daily operation, effective January 4, 2021. In previous years, she served DREF as a Financial Consultant. As the Interim Executive Director, she is responsible for supervising the staff, managing the development and program initiatives, and serving as liaison to the Board of Directors.
