Grant Applications for 2010-11 Now Being Received

The Delta Foundation invites chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and local community based organizations to apply for a program grant for the 2011-12 fiscal year.

The Delta Foundation grant application process opened on March 1, 2011 and will close on June 1, 2011.  All application packets must be postmarked by June 1, 2011

 The grants are awarded for programming that impact the lives of African American women and their families.

Award Areas:

1) Economic Development

2) Educational Development

3) International Awareness and Involvement

4) Physical and Mental Health, and

5) Political Awareness and Involvement.

Applicants that are community based organizations (non-Delta chapters) must provide written documentation of their 501 (c) (3) non-profit status.  Dr. Alison J. Harmon, president of The Delta Foundation, encourages collegiate chapters to apply for grants.

“We want more collegiate chapters to apply for our grants.  They are doing wonderful programs on their various campuses and additional funding may assist with taking their service projects to the next level.” states Dr. Alison J. Harmon, President.

 The grant award announcements will be made by August 8, 2011. If you are currently a grantee partner, your final report for the 2010-11 grant award must be submitted by the July 31, 2011 deadline date before receiving additional grant funds.
